Originals Juice Cleanse
The Joulebody juice cleanse inspired by “The Originals” will be available for purchase only at Gilt City starting Sept. 25. Joulebody/Gilt City

As if the CW’s “The Originals” needed any more hype, “The Vampire Diaries” spinoff series has teamed up with the lifestyle site Gilt City and holistic cleansing and detox company Joulebody to promote its freshman season.

Fans of the Original vampires -- Klaus, Rebekah and Elijah Mikaelson -- can now feast on the same liquid diet as their favorite vamps. Well, maybe not the same “blood diet,” but definitely close! So, how exactly is the juice cleanse influenced by the TV show?

For starters, the juice cleanse is rich red (just like the blood that Marcel loves to spill) and pitch black (like Klaus’ heart -- sometimes) thanks to beets, kale, blueberries, strawberries and more. Called Mikaelson’s Blood Cleanse, the concoction also features the fleur-de-lis of the Bayou on each bottle as a tribute to the New Orleans setting of “The Originals.”

Featuring juice flavors such as “Kale or be Kaled,” “Howl at the Noon” and “Blood Sugar,” the whole-food cleanse is meant to “help curb cravings for sugar, salt, carbohydrates and wheat.”

The three-day juice “blood” cleanse” from Joulebody will be exclusively sold at Gilt City beginning Sept. 25. For $119, the three-day Mikaelson’s Blood Cleanse includes the following:

9 a.m. -- Morning Ritual juices (Strawberry, Orange, Beet and Kale)

Noon -- Howl at The Noon juices (Root Vegetables)

3 p.m. -- Kale or be Kaled juices (Kale, Celery, Beet, Parsely and Apple Juice)

5 p.m. -- Blood Sugar juices (Lemon, Grapefruit, Beet and Cayenne Pepper)

8 p.m. -- Heart of Darkness juices (Cinnamon, Honey, Coconut Water and Beet)

“The Originals” premieres on the CW Oct. 3 at 9 p.m. EDT, after the season-five premiere of “The Vampire Diaries.” The premiere episode, “Always And Forever,” will find vampire/werewolf hybrid Klaus returning to New Orleans, the city his family helped build 300 years ago but was subsequently forced to flee. With his brother, Elijah, following him to the city, the pair will learn some “life-changing” news about Klaus’ onetime hookup, werewolf Hayley.

While Elijah believes that his family, the original vampires, have a “second chance at humanity and redemption,” Klaus is more bent on figuring out what his protege, Marcel, is up to.

After the premiere, “The Originals” will be moving to a permanent time slot on the CW on Tuesdays at 8 p.m. EDT.
