Pink got candid about her 3-year-old son's coronavirus battle ahead of the Mother's Day celebration.

Pink shared how their family battled COVID-19 when her son, Jameson, contracted the disease. Pink wrote an essay reflecting the experience for NBC News ahead of Mother’s Day.

“Mother’s Day is this weekend and I have been reflecting on the wonderful, yet challenging gift of time that life in COVID-19 quarantine has meant for me and my children. To be a mom, a teacher, a cook, a confidant, and a badass dream chaser all at once is no small feat. Mamas everywhere, you are doing amazing,” Pink wrote.

“Battling COVID-19 along with my 3-year-old son was the most physically and emotionally challenging experience I have gone through as a mother. Weeks after receiving our test results, my son was still ill and feverish. It was a terrifying time, not knowing what might come next,” she added.

Pink added that she supports domestic organizations that aim to protect the children and the frontline workers. She is also a proud ambassador for UNICEF.

Pink encourages everyone to think about the mothers around the world who need help. She also quoted former U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Samantha Power saying “this won’t end for anyone, until it ends for everyone.”

“I know you would do anything to protect your own child, so let’s make sure every mama has the same opportunity and resources to protect theirs,” she concluded her message.

Aside from Pink, Cher, Salma Hayek, Millie Bobby Brown and more artists supported “UNICEF Won’t Stop.” Cher’s Spanish cover of ABBA’s hit “Chiquitita” debuted on May 8 and the video premiered on UNICEF’s COVID-19 virtual special.

Just like Pink, Cher is a fan of the organization since she was a little girl. According to her, it’s critical to prioritize every child around the world.

Cher donated the proceeds from her song like ABB did with their Spanish version to UNICEF. She was also very proud to have her new version premiered during the broadcast of “UNICEF Won’t Stop.”

Just recently, Angelina Jolie penned a letter for parents. Jolie, a TIME contributing editor and special envoy of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), reminded parents that they do not need to be perfect because children don’t need perfect parents but honest ones.
