Hundreds of fans reportedly turned up at Raby Bay in Australia to see Johnny Depp on the set of “Pirates of the Caribbean 5.” Some fans apparently sang to the actor as he prepared to wrap up filming his scenes at that location.

Depp will reprise his role as Captain Jack Sparrow in the upcoming movie. According to a report by Gold Coast Bulletin, the actor spent more than an hour chatting with fans who had come to meet him. The actor may be leaving Raby Bay soon and so the fans decided to sing to him as an early birthday present. The actor will turn 52 on June 9.

Maria Paula Rabelo, one of the fans, posted a video of Depp in his full costume. The actor decided to walk over to the fans and waved at them. “How are you?” Depp asked the excited fans and later asked, “You know we are in Cleveland?” The fans told him they knew and one of them also shouted “I love you, Johnny” to the actor, who in turn thanked the fans with a smile.

Cleveland is one of the localities of the Redland City in the state of Queensland, Australia. The Raby Bay coastline is part of this locality and the location features beaches and meadows that are a popular destination for tourists. “Pirates of the Caribbean 5” is being filmed at this location apart from the Gold Coast.

One of the fans also got to hug Depp while the actor was signing autographs. This video can be seen on Instagram. A reporter named Michelle Tapper managed to get a kiss on the cheek from the actor. “You have made my day,” the reporter told him.

“Pirates of the Caribbean 5” is slated to be released July 7, 2017, in the U.S. The plot revolves around Sparrow trying to find the Trident of Poseidon, an artifact that gives the wielder power over the seas to take on his new enemy Captain Salazar, played by Javier Bardem.
