PlayStation Plus subscribers can download six free games this month across PS4, PS3 and PlayStation Vita. If you’re a fan of Batman or Deus Ex, there’s a lot to love. Here’s the full list of games courtesy of the U.S. PlayStation Blog.

PS4 Games For January 2018

  • Deus Ex: Mankind Divided: It’s not often that PlayStation Plus subscribers get access to triple-A PS4 games, but Mankind Divided definitely fits that bill. Released out of Eidos Montreal last August, this is a direct sequel to 2011’s Deus Ex: Human Revolution. That being said, even if you didn’t play through its predecessor, you should be able to understand the new story well enough. It’s got a cool protagonist, great cover mechanics, accurate shooting and a cool sci-fi setting that fans of Black Mirror will appreciate.
  • Batman: The Telltale Series Season 1: True to its name, this is a Batman game designed in Telltale’s choice-centric model made famous by The Walking Dead series. DC gave these developers enough freedom to tell a totally original Batman story with tons of surprises and new takes on classic characters. Rub elbows with Catwoman, The Joker and more to change how these iconic characters develop. Will you solve problems diplomatically as Bruce Wayne or take to the skies as the caped crusader himself?
  • Starblood Arena [Requires PSVR, Free Through March 6]: If you got a PSVR headset over the holidays, Starblood Arena is a must-have freebie. It’s a multiplayer-centric game, and since it’s free for three months, there should be lots of people playing. It’s got first-person ship-based combat with a style that calls back to Overwatch and Borderlands. Choose the right character and the right craft to blast your way to victory.
  • Psycho-Pass: Mandatory Happiness: This is a visual novel based on the Psycho-Pass anime, and the plot takes place during the first 12 episodes of the series. Play as Inspector Nadeshiko Kugatachi or Enforcer Takuma Tsurugi to confront a rogue AI that wants to force happiness on the population through chemical means.
  • Uncanny Valley: This survival horror game is all about consequences. Playing as a remote facility worker named Tom, players uncover strange things while wandering their workplace. There are no fail states, only penalties for not taking the correct course of action against some seriously deadly foes.

PS3 Games For January 2018

Unwritten Tales 2
'The Book Of Unwritten Tales 2' is a light point-and-click adventure game with plenty of unique art. KING Art/THQ Nordic
  • Sacred 3: Sacred 3 finally released on PS3 in 2014, and its troubled development spawned a fairly mediocre hack-and-slash brawler. If you like the Dynasty Warriors series or just want something mindless to play, this is a decent experience. It’s missing lots of the characters from its predecessor, but the new ones are just cool enough to get by.
  • The Book Of Unwritten Tales 2: Those looking for something light and funny might appreciate this point-and-click adventure title. A gnome named Wilbur Weathervane has lost control of his wand during a democratic election, and now it’s trying to kill one of the candidates! With lovable characters and unique art direction, you’ll have plenty of motivation to solve this game’s brand of complex puzzles.

As with all PlayStation Plus games, we’d advise going to the PlayStation Store website to buy them even if you don’t own the required hardware. All games will remain playable as long as your subscription remains active. The free download links should be live by 3 p.m. EST.
