“Pokémon Sun And Moon” got a new trailer this week, and it revealed some hot version-exclusive monsters. Beyond that, however, it also went a long way toward confirming Chinese leaks that were posted in July. Here’s a recap of what future reveals may hold.

As this is a proven leak, it’s worth noting that SPOILERS are coming for “Pokémon Sun And Moon.” Those that don’t want to know should stop reading now.

With that warning out of the way, let’s get to the facts. A few months ago, translations popped up on the Smogon University forums that seemed to confidently reveal details about the games. Among the reveals, it was said that “Rowlet, Litten and Popplio evolve into an archer, a wrestler and a siren respectively,” while pointing to images here. In addition, “Rockruff will evolve into a werewolf,” there will be no gyms and new Pokédex additions include a “rugby monkey.”

As those that have been following the latest trailers and features will know, most of those details have since been officially confirmed as true. We’ve seen Rockruff’s evolved dark form, gyms are being replaced by trials and the apparent rugby monkey’s name was announced as Passimian just days ago. Given its proven validity, what else might this leak tell us?

For one, we now know quite a bit about upcoming Pokémon reveals. In addition to everything Nintendo has publicly shown, “Sun And Moon” will also feature monsters based on a mushroom, dolphin, sea cucumber and snowman. There’s also Marshadow, a Pokémon that will feature a “very unique typing.” These rumors have been discussed for months now, but this week’s trailer has given us everything we need to prove them accurate. Considering how many “Pokémon” leaks end up being total garbage, this development marks a truly noteworthy occasion.

“Pokémon Sun And Moon” come to 3DS on Nov. 18.
