Unfortunately, about half of all of the languages in the world -- more than 3,000 different languages -- are currently on the verge of extinction. Google hopes to stem the tide with its latest effort, called The Endangered Languages Project.

Don't expect fugitives in Bergen County, N.J., to like the county sheriff office's Facecrook site set up to apprehend them. The Facecrook site is the brainchild of Bergen County Sheriff Office Inspector Mickey Bradley, who told the Bergen Record that he believes Facecrook is the first site of its kind in the country. Bradley bought the domain, facecrook.us, for $17 about a year ago.
