Colorado Fire Death Toll Rises As Two Bodies Recovered, Another Missing

The bodies of a man and a woman have been discovered in one of the 16 homes that were completely destroyed by a horrendous wildfire that forced hundreds to leave their towns and flee to mountainous areas near Denver. Now, authorities say third person is missing from the same area as the other bodies.

Melissa Jenkins: Missing Teacher’s Body Found, “Death Considered Suspicious” [PHOTO, VIDEO]

Vermont police say they discovered a dead body which they believe to be Melissa Jenkins, a local science teacher at St. Johnsbury academy who was declared missing on Sunday night. According to State Police Major Ed Ledo, it is likely Jenkins, though her identification cannot be confirmed until after the autopsy. The body has been transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Burlington, Vt. The autopsy should be conducted on Tuesday.

New Study Explores Virus To Fight Superbugs

The Society for General Microbiology's Spring Conference currently being held in Dublin between 26-29 March proposed the use of viruses called bacteriophages to wipe out bacterial strains that are resistant to the current crop of antibiotics. In a proactive stance, the FDA has been warned legally to to act on its long-drawn 35-year-old ruling that restricts the use of popular antibiotics in farms food.
