Prince Charles is a big fan of his daughter-in-law, Meghan Markle.

The Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Sussex have always shared a good relationship, according to insiders. Nick Bullen, a royal television producer has supported this claim in a recent interview. "From what I know, [Prince Charles] is a big fan of Meghan Markle. He just wants his boys to be happy," Bullen told Fox News.

"He knows those boys have had a rough life with his marriage falling apart in front of the whole world. Then they lost their mother at a very young age," he continued.

According to Bullen, Prince Charles' fondness for the former "Suits" star springs from the fact that she makes Prince Harry happy. This is what the future king wants for his sons. "And Meghan is making Harry very happy. And that makes the Prince of Wales happy," Bullen added. "He wants what every father would want for their son."

In addition, the future king is reportedly positive that Markle is "part of the monarchy's future." In addition, Prince Charles apparently believes that "she's good for the family."

"She’s great-looking, she’s really clever, she loves Prince Harry, she’s brilliant on stage - she’s a great asset to the family," Bullen explained. "She’s part of the monarchy’s future and he knows it."

Prince Charles and Markle's fondness for each other seem to be obvious to the people around them. In fact, according to an insider, the 70-year-old royal has a nickname for Prince Harry's wife.

"Prince Charles admires Meghan for her strength and the backbone she gives Harry, who needs a tungsten-type figure in his life as he can be a bit of a softy. It's become a term of endearment," the source revealed.

Markle reportedly feels the same way for her father-in-law. While she's estranged from her biological dad, Thomas Markle Sr., she has become very close to the future king.

"Meghan met Charles and was bowled over by his charm," the source said. "She told Harry he was wonderful: welcoming, warm, hard-working, kind and stable. She made it clear that he should appreciate him and bond more."

On the other hand, Prince Charles relationship with Kate Middleton isn't that great. The heir felt that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge favor Middleton's parents over him when it comes to Prince George and Princess Charlotte.
