Rumors have it that the husband of Camilla Parker-Bowles was not pleased with his son’s decision since he was not informed beforehand. However, a recent report claimed that there is a more profound reason as to why the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s resignation did not sit well with the Prince of Wales.

Woman’s Day Australia, in its Jan. 27, 2020, issue, claimed that Prince Charles has been giving Meghan Markle and Prince Harry a significant amount of money secretly. The entertainment news publication stated that the son of Queen Elizabeth has been paying Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor’s parents "millions of pounds" from his personal income. It even reported that the Duke of Sussex received more money than Prince William at one point.

“Charles is heartbroken. He has lavished Harry with whatever he needs. He always over-compensated for the fact that Harry was his little lost soul and made sure he wanted for nothing, and they shared a close relationship on a different level to the one between Charles and William,” a source told the outlet. “For Harry to turn his nose up publicly about everything his father has afforded him – and now Meghan has done the same – is a very painful situation for Charles. I’m not sure he’ll ever recover,” it went on.

The magazine added that Prince Charles contributed a total of $56 million for Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s wedding in 2018. The grandfather of Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, allegedly, also, shelled out some money for the renovation of the Frogmore Cottage. This, according to the same tipster, is the primary reason why Camilla’s better half is the most devastated member of the royal family after learning about the Sussex couple’s bombshell exit.

Prince Charles has yet to comment on these claims. But, with Woman’s Day magazine’s reputation for writing made-up stories based on the claims of some anonymous insiders, this could be another speculation waiting to be squashed. Meanwhile, TMZ’s Harvey Levin predicted that Meghan Markle and Prince Harry will become billionaires following their controversial royal exit. The journalist, per Fox News, even described the Sussex couple as “incredibly marketable,” “young,” “beautiful,” intelligent” and “interesting people.”
