Prince Harry denied Prince William one of his dreams.

The Duke of Cambridge was groomed to be the future king. However, growing up he wanted to become a police officer. But his younger brother, Prince Harry, didn’t support it.

In the Amazon documentary “Prince William: Royalty In My Family,” Prince William shared his plans to become a policeman to Prince Harry. The second-in-line to the throne revealed that he wanted to be a police officer to protect their mother, Princess Diana. However, the Duke of Sussex broke his heart with his response.

“You can’t, you’ve got to be King!” Prince Harry told Prince William.

Prince Harry is fully aware that his older brother will be the next king since they were children and this is fine with him. Princess Diana’s former protection officer, Ken Wharfe, revealed on “Robert Jobson’s Royal Podcast” how Prince Harry even boasted to Prince William his freedom to do anything he wanted because he won’t be king.

“It's alright, I can do anything because I won't be King. You will be, therefore I can do what I want,” Prince Harry told Prince William during a car ride with Princess Diana and their nanny.

The same documentary revealed that Princess Diana relied on her eldest son for “comfort and advice.” According to reports, Prince William would even pass tissues to his tearful mother under the bathroom door when she was upset.

Prince William and Princess Diana had a great relationship and this was caught in one footage of the documentary “Charles and Di: In. Private and Public.”

In the clip, Prince William and Prince Harry were helped up into the helicopter that arrived to pick up the Prince of Wales. Prince William was 5 years old at the time. When he was comfortably seated, Princess Diana leaned on the side of the helicopter to watch her children inside. Prince William then leaned out of the window and kissed his mom on the nose.

Prince William also promised Princess Diana that he would return her royal title once he becomes a king. Princess Diana’s former royal butler Paul Burrell believes that Prince William will do this as his first project when he takes over the throne.
