Prince Harry and Meghan Markle reportedly have a group chat on WhatsApp with the other members of the royal family.

Despite their alleged feud, a source told US Weekly that Prince Harry and Markle have a family text chain with Prince William and Kate Middleton. However, it is unclear if they send messages to each other regularly.

Prince Harry and Markle have both been spotted with their iPhones in public. Markle was photographed carrying an iPhone X next to her Gucci handbag when she got off the plane in Melbourne during their overseas tour with her husband in October.

Queen Elizabeth II’s grandson-in-law, Mike Tindall, also revealed earlier this year that a few of Zara Tindall’s cousins have a group chat on WhatsApp. Zara is the first cousin of Prince William and Prince Harry.

“Me, my brother, and then a few of Zara’s side like her brother Pete and the cousins are on WhatsApp groups. I wouldn’t say we’re cutting edge, but it’s just easier for some reason on WhatsApp,” he told Mirror UK.

Mike added that he is in about 25,000 other groups on WhatsApp and said that there are different reasons why people join groups. He usually doesn't like leaving group chats because he doesn’t want to be seen as rude.

In related news, the royal family’s group chat is being seen as a big deal because of Middleton and Markle’s alleged rift. But a source told Us Weekly that the two women are not really at odds with each other. Kate is reportedly a nice person, but she's reserved because she is British.

“Kate doesn’t warm up to people too quickly. It takes some time for her to become comfortable and trusting for anyone in the outside world,” the source said.

And when it comes to Markle, Prince Harry’s wife took some time to get used to the protocols of the palace and the royal family.

“That can’t be easy for anyone to get used to, especially a woman who had all the independence in the world just one year ago,” the source said.
