Prince William grew up in a home that was filled with shouting and bickering because his parents were always fighting. And this tension impacted how he is as a person.

While speaking with Express, body language expert Judi James said that the Duke of Cambridge became very cautious, and he’s also quite obsessed with getting things right because he doesn’t want to follow in the footsteps of his parents.

As a dad, Prince William wants to spend as much time as he could with his children. A royal expert said that the dad of three sends Prince George and Princess Charlotte to school every day regardless of how busy he is.

And as a husband to Kate Middleton, the second in line to the throne also tries his best to make sure that his wife is happy. Prince William doesn’t want his marriage to end in divorce just like the union of Prince Charles and Princess Diana.

As a young boy, Prince William also took on the responsibility of being a father figure to Prince Charles and Prince Harry. Even though Prince Charles is his father and he is much older than his son, the future King was never a father figure to his boys.

Princess Diana passed away when Prince William and Prince Harry were still very young. And the royal siblings didn’t have a long-term mother figure in their lives.

“Many moments from the time Diana died onward suggest he became a semi-paternal figure to both Harry and his own father,” James said.

Meanwhile, Prince Charles and Prince William’s relationship became more strained after Princess Diana’s death. Shortly after the Princess of Wales’ accident, Prince Charles told Prince William and Prince Harry about Camilla, and it became evident that Prince William didn’t want to know more details about the relationship.

According to royal author Penny Junor, Prince Charles was always sensitive to his sons’ feelings about Camilla. But the boys eventually warmed up and accepted their stepmom.
