Prince William, Kate Middleton’s split from Prince Harry and Meghan Markle is necessary, according to one journalist.

According to Latifa Yedroudj, a journalist for Express, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s split was planned. Prince Harry reportedly wanted to part ways from his brother because they have “different trajectories.“ If Prince Harry didn’t marry Markle, the royal shakeup could have happened last year.

A source also revealed the same to Daily Mail’s contributor Jessica Rach. Prince William and Middleton reportedly said that they will remain in Kensington Palace even when the Duke of Cambridge becomes the Prince of Wales. On the other hand, Prince Harry and Markle will be based in Queen Elizabeth II’s residence, Buckingham Palace.

“William has always supported his brother and has given him time to make the decisions he need, but equally he always knew there would come a time that their paths had to diverge, and with a new wife and a baby on the way, now seems like that moment,” the source revealed.

The tipster added that Prince Harry’s decision to split from Prince William’s household was supported by his older brother. The soon-to-be dad has Prince William’s support and blessing.

“This is just something that needed to happen. It's about future-proofing the monarchy,” the insider added.

Prince Harry and Markle will be closer to Queen Elizabeth II following their decision to leave Kensington Palace as they will now stay at the monarch’s residence. According to the palace’s announcement, Her Majesty has already given her permission to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex to have their household office at Buckingham Palace.

In addition, the couple appointed new communications staff who will form their own communications team. Kensington Palace will continue to support Prince Harry and Markle until things settle down in their new office.

Before Prince William, Middleton, Prince Harry and Markle’s rumored feud was reported last year, several sources had already said that the fab four will eventually separate. Prince William and Prince Harry were already considering a formal division of their household due to their growing families.
