Princess Diana passed away on Aug. 31, 1997, and several conspiracy theories surrounding her death have existed since then.

Reader’s Digest previously compiled some of the most controversial conspiracy theories about the Princess of Wales that are being revisited after her eerie premonition was revealed today.

According to the publication, it was believed that Prince Charles could not marry Camilla Parker Bowles if Princess Diana were still alive. Months before her passing, Princess Diana wrote a letter to her butler and said that she thinks someone is planning an accident on her car.

At that time, Princess Diana claimed that her ex-husband really wanted to marry a woman named Tiggy, and he was just using Camilla as his decoy.

Another conspiracy theory about Princess Diana’s demise had to do with the rumors that the royal family disliked her boyfriend Dodi Al Fayed. He was with Princess Diana in the car when the crash happened, and they both died following the incident.

There were also rumors suggesting that Princess Diana’s car was led to a tunnel by the secret service, and the eyes of her driver were covered to prevent him from seeing. It has also been revealed that Princess Diana’s was drunk at the time of the accident, but some theorists are convinced that the forensic results used belonged to someone else. This suggests that the driver wasn’t really drunk and he purposely committed the accident.

And lastly, there were some rumors saying that the medical treatment that Princess Diana received couldn’t have really saved her in the first place.

Following the murder of Gianni Versace, Princess Diana received a call and was told that her good friend had died at the age of 50. The mom of two worried about experiencing the same fate and being murdered. Princess Diana was with her boyfriend Dodi Al Fayed when she received the call.

Fayed’s bodyguard found Princess Diana on the yacht’s deck, staring into the horizon over the deep blue sea. The Princess of Wales asked the bodyguard if he thought they will do the same thing to her.
