Princess Diana at some point was more concerned with Prince William than Prince Harry.

Royal expert Ingrid Seward shared her “girly chat” with Princess Diana before her tragic accident in 1997 to Yahoo’s “The Royal Box.” According to the Majesty Magazine editor, the Princess of Wales called her attention when she wrote something for the Daily Mail that the royal didn’t like.

Princess Diana’s secretary rang Seward and told her she needed to have a “girly chat” with the People’s Princess. The biographer didn’t decline and explained that Princess Diana thought she knew about her lover Hasnat Khan when she mentioned in her article that men were being driven into Kensington Palace under a blanket at the back of the car, but she didn’t know the identity of the man.

“So we just talked about everything, absolutely everything, we talked about Prince Charles, we talked about Highgrove, we talked about William and Harry, we talked about my daughter,” Seward said.

“That’s when she told that… ‘Harry’s...he’s fine - it’s William I’m worried about’ because she was more worried about him then.”

Royal commentator Richard Kay, who was close to Princess Diana, also recalled how she talked fondly of her two sons. However, with Kay, Princess Diana shared that she’s more concerned with Prince Harry.

Prince Charles’ first wife said that she noticed how the members of the royal family treated Prince Harry and Prince William differently. Most paid more attention and love to Prince William as he would be the future king. As a result, Princess Diana decided to give more love to her youngest son.

Princess Diana explained that she had to do it because she and her husband, the Prince of Wales, were working to ensure that both of their boys would receive “equal amounts” of their time and love and others just concentrate on the Duke of Cambridge.

Prince William and Prince Harry confessed that they regret the last phone call they had with their mom. The Duke of Cambridge and Duke of Sussex were in Balmoral when Princess Diana called, but they were in a hurry to play with their cousins so they rushed to end the call to resume their playtime. Both said that their last conversation with Princess Diana still haunts them and they wished they spent a longer time talking to her.
