Princess Diana could have been better off with Prince Andrew than with Prince Charles.

Throwback photos of the Princess of Wales and Duke of York were shared on Instagram. In the snaps, the two look like a great pair.

Prince Andrew is wearing a black sweater that complements Princess Diana’s white jumper. In one snap, the pair are walking side by side and seem to be talking to each other.

In the second snap, the two look very sweet. Princess Diana’s two hands rest on Prince Andrew’s shoulder and both are smiling. It seems that Princess Diana is about to give Prince Andrew a kiss on the cheek to greet him or to bid goodbye as their faces are so close to each other.

Based on the caption, Princess Diana visited Prince Andrew’s wife, Sarah Ferguson, at Portland Hospital following the birth of their daughter Princess Eugenie.

The sweet photos of Princess Diana and Prince Andrew prompted the netizens to leave a comment. Some felt that the People’s Princess would have been better off with her brother-in-law.

“You can see that Prince Andrew was so close to Princess Diana - The Peoples’ Princes of the World - Love by All,” one netizen wrote.

“I would have been better if Diana married Andrews. They would have had beautiful kids,” a different user wrote.

“Prince Andrew thought a lot of Diana maybe she would've been so much better off with him,” another netizen commented.

Another user wrote that Prince Andrew and Prince Edward were very comfortable with Princess Diana. A different user responded and wrote that it’s probably because she was in their age group. Prince Andrew was born a decade after Prince Philip and Queen Elizabeth II welcomed their second child, Princess Anne.

Also, Prince Andrew and Prince Edward had different upbringing than the Prince of Wales and the Royal Princess. The older children were raised with a strict upbringing.

In the Amazon Prime documentary “The Diana Story,” Princess Diana’s former housekeeper Betty Andrews shared that they thought the princess would end up with Prince Andrew. She explained that aside from the Duke of York’s “dashing good looks,” Princess Diana and Prince Andrew were closer in age.

In related news, Prince Harry was reportedly born into an “unhappy marriage.” Prince Charles and Princess Diana were very happy when they welcomed Prince William, but their joy didn’t last long.
