Princess Diana’s subtle body language technique is reportedly being used by Meghan Markle to help her become more likable.

Judi James, a body language expert, recently told The Sun that Markle’s cheeky and flirty gestures in public are being used by the Duchess of Sussex to increase her appeal to the public eye.

“Meghan used this gesture when she was wearing her more formal royal clothing for the first time. This implies a desire to look funny and real rather than stiff and starchy… Princess Diana used to employ similar, self-effacing traits,” she said.

For instance, the late Princess of Wales is known for using tie-signs to connect with her fans when she is at royal events that require her to dress up. Oftentimes, the mom of two is seen grinning and rolling her eyes at the cameras to show that she was natural and down to earth even when she’s wearing a long gown and a tiara.

Meanwhile, this is not the first time that Markle has been compared to Princess Diana. Last month, a royal expert said that the Duchess of Sussex is headed to a tricky situation that was previously experienced by Prince Harry’s mom.

Royal author Anna Pasternak told Yahoo’s “The Royal Box” that Markle’s way of adapting to her royal life has been quite similar to how Princess Diana tried to get used to her new life years ago.

She also gave the “Suits” alum a word of caution because it seems as though she is paving the way for history to repeat itself.

“I think she’s heading for a tricky situation because I actually think very little has changed in the last eight years in terms of a power of courtiers. What I discovered in my research for my book on Wallis Simpson and Princess Diana is that one goal of the monarchy, the ultimate goal, is survival… And for that the spotlight has to be on the heir apparent,” she said.
