The “Quantico” season finale is going to give fans answers to questions that they’ve been waiting for. Season 1, episode 22 will wrap up the terrorist storyline and launch the Season 2 mystery. It’s going to be a big episode, but the same can’t be said for the finale synopsis. The ABC drama’s producers are attempting to keep the secrets locked down until the episode airs.

“It’s graduation day for the [new agent trainees] of Quantico,” the synopsis says. Luckily, photographs give fans a little more information. Viewers will see Alex (Priyanka Chopra) and Ryan (Jake McLaughlin) getting closer. Alex offered to take a two-week getaway with Ryan in the previous episode. These photos of episode 22, titled “Yes,” make it appear as if he’ll at least want to take her up on her offer.

The future timeline is what everybody is interested in, though. “Alex and her team find themselves head-to-head with the terrorist,” the synopsis reveals. Fans who tuned in to episode 21 discovered Liam (Josh Hopkins) was the traitor when he shot Miranda (Aunjanue Ellis).

The trailer doesn’t reveal whether Miranda is alive, but it’s clear somebody else is going to die. “One agent will make the ultimate sacrifice,” the promotional video says.

While the episode is sure to leave some questions to be answered in Season 2, fans can rest easy knowing that nobody’s life will be on the line all summer. “I’m not a fan of cliffhangers,” executive producer Joshua Safran told Entertainment Weekly. “We’re not leaving anyone’s life in the balance.”

The season finale will also explore Liam’s motives. Audiences will find out exactly how and why he became a terrorist. “The show has been about, what makes someone a terrorist?” Safran added. “What makes someone want to protect their country? What makes someone an American? That’s what we saved for the finale.”

The “Quantico” Season 1 finale airs on ABC Sunday, May 15, at 10 p.m. EDT.
