Olga Kurylenko, the star of movies such as "Hitman," "Oblivion," "Vampire Academy," and the James Bond film "Quantum of Solace," recently announced that she had contracted COVID-19. The actress announced her current status on Instagram last Sunday.

According to Fox News, the James Bond girl made the announcement while showing that she was in self-quarantine, using the picture of what looked like an apartment window on her post. She revealed that she had been feeling unwell for about a week, and that "fever and fatigue" were the main symptoms of her sickness. She implored people to take care of themselves and to do so seriously.

The actress joins a long list of celebrities who came down with the deadly disease. The virus has taken more than 6,000 lives, with more than 162,000 people tested positive and more cases reported with each day. In the U.S. alone, the death toll has already reached 68. West Virginia remained the only U.S. state without a case.

Other notable people who have been infected with the sickness, News 18 reported, are Australia's Home Affairs Minister Peter Dutton and Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau's wife, Sophie Gregoire Trudeau. The former had checked into a hospital following his admission, while the latter has gone into isolation. Her husband did not show signs of being infected, according to a spokesman.

Another Hollywood actor and A-lister, Tom Hanks, also tested positive for COVID-19. The couple remained in Australia as they entered into isolation and are currently undergoing observation. Sports celebrities who tested positive with the disease include Juventus and Italian Serie-A defender Daniele Rugani, Chelsea's winger Callum Hudson-Odoi and Utah Jazz center Rudy Gobert.

Most cases of the coronavirusonly involve mild or moderate symptoms like fever and cough. It is deadlier for older adults and people with underlying health problems. Health problems range from severe illnesses like pneumonia. While it may look like a "death sentence" to some, there had been people who have actually recovered from the disease.

Most gatherings like the music festivals Stagecoach and Coachella had been delayed. Movies, like the latest Bond flick "No Time to Die," had been given a delayed-release as well.
