Following Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's royal exit, which was announced on their Sussex Royal Instagram, Queen Elizabeth II has reportedly started to look ahead.

According to Hello, Her Majesty has started searching for a new planner, who will oversee Buckingham Palace's extensive refurbishment. As stated by the outlet, the person who takes on this "key role" will have an important job when it comes to the £369 million ($497.7 million U.S. dollars) ten-year renovation. This, says the publication, would mark the "first major overhaul since the 1950s."

Regarding what qualifications they are looking for, to be considered, applicants must be good communicators and have a background in construction.

As for what the position entails, the person who is hired will join the rest of the team in the Program Management Office in order to begin working to preserve the Palace, according to the Linkedin job listing. The new employee will be expected to work 37.5 hours a week and may be required to occasionally travel as needed. The position will reportedly pay £38,000 (approximately $49,000 U.S. dollars) a year, but that is dependent upon the level of experience.

This is not the only time that the Queen and the Palace have searched to fill a vacant role. In 2019, it was reported that the monarch was looking for someone "proactive" who could tackle certain challenges. Additionally, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have also hired their own surprising people in the past.
