Rapper Blueface has been arrested by Las Vegas police on Tuesday and charged with attempted murder. The 25-year-old's arrest was reportedly confirmed by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department.

According to the department, the rapper, whose real name is Johnathan Porter, was arrested "on charges stemming from a shooting that took place on October 8, 2022," ET reported.

The cops confirmed that Porter "will be booked into the Clark County Detention Center on warrants for attempted murder with a deadly weapon and discharging a firearm at/into an occupied structure."

A video captured by TMZ and later shared by a Twitter user showed how Porter was arrested by undercover cops when he was sitting on a bench with his girlfriend, Chrisean Rock on the sidewalk.

The arrest was made in connection to a shooting incident reported in the city on Oct. 8 incident. The rapper was accused of using a deadly firearm or tear gas.

This is not the first time Porter has been arrested. He was previously arrested in California for possession of a gun in February.

The rapper was pulled over by a traffic cop at the intersection of Sunset and Vine in Hollywood. Police discovered that he was driving with a suspended license and upon checking his car, they found a concealed weapon.

Porter also made headlines in November 2021 for beating a nightclub bouncer, who wanted to see his ID card before allowing them to enter. Multiple sources reported that there was an arrest warrant issued against the rapper in connection to the brutal attack in San Fernando Valley.

A Twitter user shared a video showing Porter and his friends assaulting the bouncer:

Porter was also charged with a felony of gun possession in February 2019. However, he was later released on bail after paying a $35,000 fine. The charge against him was dropped later that year in October due to insufficient evidence.

On the work front, Blueface rose to fame with his 2018's song, "Respect My Cryppin," which became a viral meme. He recently dropped a music video, titled "One Time" on July 22, directed by Louie Knows.
