  • Robert Pattinson has already thought what he is going to do if "The Batman" fails
  • He confessed that he will do "art-house" porn if the movie doesn't live up to the expectations
  • Pattinson will be next seen Christopher Nolan's "Tenet"

Robert Pattinson has revealed that he already has a backup plan in case his upcoming movie “The Batman” fails at the box office and it is surely not something that anyone could have ever imagined.

Speaking in an interview with The Guardian, the 33-year-old actor confessed that if Matt Reeves’ new take on the Dark Knight fails to rake in big numbers at the box office or accumulate negative reviews from the critics, he would consider quitting the Hollywood industry and do “porn.”

When asked about all the harsh things that have been said by a certain section of fans, Pattinson noted that there is “no” harshest critic of himself than “himself” and he doesn’t get bothered by who says what about him.

“There is no harsher critic of myself than myself, so I do not need to worry about anyone else,” Pattinson said.

Later in the discussion, when it was pointed out that there will be a lot of pressure on his shoulders while donning the iconic costume, the “Lighthouse” star revealed that he has already thought what he will be doing if the movie fails to do justice to the iconic character.

“Porn. But art-house porn,” Pattinson jokingly said.

His comments come a couple of weeks after he insisted that the caped crusader is not exactly a superhero because he does not have any “magical” powers. Pattinson believes that a character needs to have some sort of magical powers to be called a “superhero” or else it “doesn’t” count.

In October, the “High Life” star suggested something similar in an interview with The New York Times. At the time, Pattinson revealed that Batman is “not a golden body” and described him as a “complicated character.”

Pattinson will be next seen in Christopher Nolan’s “Tenet.” The plot of the movie is currently unknown, but just like Nolan said it revolves around espionage, time travel and evolution. The trailer of the movie just dropped and it received universal acclaim. As soon as the trailer surfaced online, the netizens voiced that one more “masterpiece” is coming from Nolan.

“Tenet” also stars John David Washington, Elizabeth Debicki, Clemence Poesy, Kenneth Branagh, Michael Caine and Dimple Kapadia. The film is scheduled to hit theaters on July 17, 2020.
