The long wait is over for the fans of “Umbrella Academy” because finally, Netflix drops fantasy series’ latest season. Fans’ most loved characters are returning to the show’s season 2, including Klaus Hargreeves.

Other than his ability to see and communicate with dead people, Hargreeves is known for his selflessness and lack of having a sense of self-worth. This character is magnificently played by Robert Sheehan.

Who is Sheehan in the first place?

Sheehan was born on Jan. 7, 1988 in Portlaoise, County Laois, Ireland. The 32-year-old Irish actor is the son of Joe Sheehan, a former member of the Garda Siochana, and Maria Sheehan, according to IMDb.

Sheehan has also shown an interest in music as a child. Aside from learning how to play the banjo, the bodhrán, and the spoons, he also took part in an Irish music competition for children and teens known as Fleadh Cheoil, the movie site further reported.

Sheehan, despite his lady charmer-like appearance, is not dating anyone as of the moment, according to the site Dating Celebs. The “Umbrella Academy” actor previously dated Algerian-French actress, Sofia Boutella, who played Ahmanet in the 2017 film “The Mummy.”

Before “Umbrella Academy,” Sheehan appeared in several shows and movies. His acting career kicked off in 2003 with “Song for a Raggy Boy.” He also starred in “Misfits” and “Cherrybomb.”

Sheehan reportedly had inputs about his character, Klaus, in “Umbrella Academy.” The actor, together with the producers and writers, agreed that it was beautiful and at the same time tragic, to allow his character to fall in with a man, CBR reported.

Sheehan was, reportedly, rather adamant with his character being labeled as gay. He said that once the character was labeled, it would become “defining” and all else about the character was reduced, Popbuzz reported citing the Sheehan’s interview with Digital Spy.

Sheehan is an advocate of gay equality and a supporter of other movements and charities. The “Umbrella Academy” actor appealed to his followers to support the said movement by tweeting a fundraiser for Bailing Out Black Mothers/Combatting Pretrial Incarceration and Mass Incarceration on June 5.

He also posted another fundraiser for helping Homeless Black Trans Women on the same day. The link was accompanied by Sheehan’s caption revealing it was his friend who furnished him with some useful ways to aid in the fight against racism and inequality.
