  • Hannah Lee Fowler and Sam Hunt are expecting their first baby together
  • Fowler filed a divorce complaint against Hunt on Feb. 18
  • She withdrew the complaint hours after filing

Sam Hunt’s wife withdrew her divorce complaint against the country singer hours after filing.

Hannah Lee Fowler, a nurse, sought to divorce Hunt on Feb. 18 in Tennessee, claiming that her husband was guilty of “inappropriate marital conduct” and “adultery.”

Court documents obtained by People revealed that Fowler asked for alimony, child support and primary custody of the child at the time of filing. She also asked that each party be “awarded their respective separate property” after Hunt allegedly cheated on her.

“The husband is guilty of such cruel and inhuman treatment or conducts toward the spouse as renders cohabitation unsafe or improper,” the court documents read.

Hunt and Fowler tied the knot in April 2017 but had not publicly announced that they were expecting. However, court documents reveal that the couple is expecting their first baby to arrive in May. The documents also state that Fowler believes that all their “hopes of reconciliation are exhausted.”

On Tuesday, People confirmed that Fowler had withdrawn her divorce complaint just hours after filing it. She reportedly requested that the petition be “voluntarily nonsuited without prejudice,” meaning she could still file for divorce from Hunt after withdrawing her initial complaint.

In July, Hunt opened up about his and his wife’s baby plans during an appearance on KISS County 99.9 Miami’s “TC & Dina” radio show, saying they wanted to become parents soon.

“We’ve been talking about it for a while, but we’ve really started thinking about it seriously here these past few months, so that’s on the agenda right now. And I’m hoping that we’ll have some good news sooner than later,” he said at the time.

Meanwhile, the last time Hunt posted about Fowler on Instagram was when they celebrated their fourth wedding anniversary in April 2021. Posting a slideshow of their photos together, he wrote, “How it started. How it’s going. Happy Anniversary!”

The country singer met Fowler in Alabama when he was a linebacker for the University of Alabama at Birmingham. They had been in an on-and-off relationship for 14 years before they were engaged in January 2017 and got married months later.
