Samsung is now selling the Galaxy S10 and S10 Plus in a striking new color -- cardinal red. A report further claimed that in the near future, the cheaper Galaxy S10e will also come in the new color as well.

According to a tweet from an unofficial Samsung News Twitter account, Samsung is now offering the Galaxy S10 and S10 Plus in a bold cardinal red color. Interested parties can see the cardinal red version listed in Samsung’s Swiss website.

A new color

The cardinal red variant is limited to Galaxy S10 and S10 Plus models with 128 GB of internal storage space only. Models with larger storage space and RAM allocations will not be available in the new colorway.

As for specs, nothing is changed save for the color. The Galaxy S10 and S10 Plus cardinal red versions still feature the same features as that of other models in different colors. The selling price also remains the same.

Those hoping to get a cheaper Samsung flagship in the new colorway might be able to get one if and when Samsung decides to release a cardinal red version of the Galaxy S10e smartphone. A report from WinFuture claimed that the most affordable Galaxy S10 smartphone will also come in the new color soon.

Will it hit U.S. stores?

SamMobile reported that Samsung released the new colorway months after the new flagships were launched in keeping with its previous practices. The South Korean tech giant also released new colorways for the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S9 smartphones months after the flagships were released.

The cardinal red version is expected to have limited availability in Western European countries, and will also be available in Russia, SamMobile added. And since Samsung usually limits certain colors to certain territories, interested Samsung fans in the U.S. are advised not to put their hopes up.

A red Galaxy Note 10?

This news should add to the possibility that the upcoming Galaxy Note 10 smartphone will come in a new red colorway. Previous reports cited rumors that the upcoming smartphone might be released in five colors, one them being a new red color. This could very well be the cardinal red color used in the Galaxy S10 and S10 Plus.
