“Scandal” Season 6, episode 14 will be a tough one for Olivia Pope (Kerry Washington) and the Gladiators.

In “Head Games,” Olivia is being eyed as the new chief of staff, and it seems that she is going to accept the job so she could remain connected to the White House. However, the members of Olivia Pope and Associates (OPA), also known as the Gladiators, will not be pleased with Olivia’s decision.

In the teaser released by ABC for Season 6, episode 14, Quinn tells Olivia that there’s no OPA without OP. In another scene, Quinn asks Olivia when she stopped “gladiating,” and she fires back by saying that she doesn’t need to explain herself to anyone.

The promo also shows Olivia and Fitzgerald Grant (Tony Goldwyn) having steamy sex. Fitz is down to his final days at the White House as the president of the United States. He will be replaced by his estranged wife, Mellie (Bellamy Young). Fitz also reflects on his legacy and realize that a lot of unpleasant things happened while he was at the Oval Office.

Elsewhere, Jake Ballard (Scott Foley) will finally discover the motivation behind Peus’ (David Warshofsky) and the Mystery Woman’s reign of terror. In the previous episode, Jake became instrumental in killing Peus and Samantha (Zoe Perry). He and Fitz were given instructions by Rowan Pope (Joe Morton) to get rid of the villainous character. But even though Peus is already dead, this does not mean that everyone is safe.

Meanwhile, David Rosen (Joshua Malina) will get into trouble and seek Abby Whelan’s (Darby Stanchfield) help. In the sneak peek released by ABC for Season 6, episode 14, David knocks at Abby’s door while holding a box. When Abby asks him what’s inside the box, David refuses to tell her anything. Instead, David asks Abby if he can put the box inside the freezer because the latter has a huge freezer that she doesn’t really use.

Before Abby could agree, she first instructs David to give her the box. The latter tries to stop her from getting it, but Abby manages to wrestle it away from David. When she opens the box, Abby is shocked when she sees what is inside. She then focuses her gaze at David and asks him what he did. It’s possible that a body part is inside the box. But whether or not it’s Samantha’s is something viewers will find out on Thursday night.

Meanwhile, “Scandal” has just been axed by ABC after Season 7. The news was reported by TV Line, but ABC has yet to make an official announcement. The series will be ending after Season 7 as requested by executive producer Shonda Rhimes herself. As of late, it is still unclear how many episodes Season 7 will have because the number of installments keep changing every season. There is also no word on when Season 7 will premiere. The pilot episode for Season 6 aired much later than “Grey’s Anatomy” and “How to Get Away With Murder” due to Washington’s pregnancy.

“Scandal” Season 6, episode 14 will air on ABC on May 11 at 9 p.m. EST on ABC.
