Under the pretense of a “modeling project,” a photographer gave a high school student in Concord, New Hampshire, a card that actually contained a link to access a pornographic website.

The student was unaware of what was on the website until the teen's mother saw the contents and reported the incident to Concord Interim Superintendent Kathleen Murphy and the school’s principal on Nov. 20, reported WUMR, which didn't disclose the student's gender or age.

“That to me is a breach of conduct by an adult to a student and I take that very seriously,” Murphy said. School officials notified the photography company, along with local police and New Hampshire’s Department of Education, about the photographer, she noted. The photographer's name was not mentioned by WUMR.

School officials said that the photographer had passed a criminal record check and that the company he worked for had been employed by the school for previous jobs. The company was also hired by another school in Concord, but this photographer didn't work on that project.

On Nov. 30, school officials sent a survey to students in order to ascertain whether any other student had a similar experience. “We’re trying to create safe environments for youngsters and we want to ensure that our students are safe and that the people who are in schools are appropriate,” Murphy said.

Apart from the survey, students have been told to inform Concord High School and the Superintendent's Office if they encounter any similar circumstances.

In a separate incident, a school photographer was booked in Bossier Parish, Louisiana, for being in possession of child pornography, two days after he shot pictures at two Caddo Parish high schools, arklatexhomepage reported.

Mitchell Solice, the 58-year-old photographer, was booked on Oct. 22 on one count of possessing pornography that involved a juvenile.

Solice was hired as the yearbook photographer for the Woodlawn and Southwood High School for the 2018-2019 school year, school officials said. They insisted that Solice passed a background check, had no criminal record, and was never left alone with students.
