Selena Gomez has deleted an Instagram picture from last year that she posted for her ex Justin Bieber's birthday.

The caption had read: "March 1, 1994 someone that I know that happens to be super cool was born. Boom."

Selena's Instagram account has 151.9m followers and around 1,496 posts. It's not clear if she has deleted or plans to delete every reference and picture of Justin from her account. But this seems to be a clear sign that she wants to keep a distance from the Justin Bieber drama. Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber were in a relationship for more than seven years. Fans loved this couple, but Selena and Justin split up in 2017.

Justin is now married to Hailey Baldwin.

A couple of months ago, Justin got into a spat with a fan on Insta who said that he only married Hailey to "get back" at Selena, Justin admitted that he did still love Selena. He wrote, “I absolutely loved and love Selena she will always hold a place in my heart, but I am head over heals in love with my wife and she is absolutely the BEST THING that has ever happened to me period."

A source told People in July that Gomez and Bieber's relationship became pretty toxic at the end, and they hadn't spoken in months. “Their relationship was always very complex and complicated," the source said. "It was just too much baggage. It was like their past tainted everything. It wasn’t possible for them to have a future.” Selena's fans are very happy that she is doing what is good for her.

"It’s been awhile since you have heard from me, but I wanted to wish everyone a happy new year and to thank you for your love and support," she wrote. "Last year was definitely a year of self-reflection, challenges and growth. It’s always those challenges which show you who you are and what you are capable of overcoming. Trust me, it’s not easy, but I am proud of the person I am becoming and look forward to the year ahead. Love you all." Selena posted earlier this year on her Instagram.

Reports suggest that when Justin and Baldwin first got engaged, Gomez was not bothered. E! reported that "Selena knows that Justin makes rash decisions but wishes them both the best. She is truly focused on herself and Justin is no longer a topic of conversation in her life."
