Selena Gomez introduced the song “Feel Me” back in 2016, and four years later she has finally released it.

“Feel Me,” a song about the ups and downs of Gomez’s complicated past relationship with Justin Bieber was first written during her “Revival” album tour in 2016, when she said, “ One night, I was really irritated and I wrote this whole song,” Cosmopolitan reported.

She debuted the song on the “Revival” tour and fans began immediately asking when it would be released officially, but Gomez wasn’t ready yet. The complexities of the Bieber-Gomez relationship is one that has been documented in both of their music with songs like Gomez's “Lose You to Love Me,” and Bieber's “Love Yourself,” which fans have long speculated was about his ex. Both stars have also spoken publicly about the pain their relationship caused them.

“It's dangerous to stay in a victim mentality,” Gomez said in a January interview with NPR. “And I'm not being disrespectful, I do feel I was a victim to certain abuse.”

“As much as I definitely don't want to spend the rest of my life talking about this, I am really proud that I can say I feel the strongest I've ever felt and I've found a way to just walk through it with as much grace as possible,” she added.

However, fans have not forgotten about “Feel Me” and they couldn’t let the song go. Now, Gomez shared she has “listened”-- and the song has been given new life.

The song has been added to “Rare’s” vinyl edition and is available online now.
