  • Beer was attcked for meeting Haily Baldwin
  • Gomez's new album is believed to be about her ex Justin Bieber

Selena Gomez slammed online trolls for attacking her friend Madison Beer recently. Beer was seen having dinner with Hailey Baldwin, which some people saw as a deliberate attempt to dampen the mood of the “Lose You To Love Me” singer.

Gomez went out to celebrate release of her new album “Rare” by heading out with her friends for dinner. She was at Craig’s in West Hollywood, which is a favorite hangout spot for celebrities. Baldwin too was spotted at the eatery, and she was with Beer.

Beer is a common friend for Gomez and Baldwin. Baldwin married Gomez’s e Justin Bieber, but that has not affected their friendship with Beer.

When fans started attacking Beer on social media, Gomez stepped in to defend her friend, ET Online reported. After reading the online posts, the “Lose You To Love Me” singer said that they were “disgusting” and added that she is “disappointed” that people would say such things.

Gomez said that she has known Beer since she was a baby and has watched her grow to become the woman she is today. She explained that Beer meeting with Baldwin at the same restaurant was not “intentional,” and she added that she doesn’t have any issue with her friend.

Beer too responded to the comments by explaining that what she did wasn’t intentional, People reported. Beer said that she just met Baldwin, who has been her friend for a decade, and asked the trolls how that is being seen as a crime.

Beer also said that she loves Gomez and would not try to upset her in a million years. As far as the meeting at the same restaurant is concerned, she said that it was just a coincidence.

Fans believe that Gomez sang about her ex in her new album, TMZ reported. Bieber, however, was not there with his wife when she went to Craig’s.
