  • The Sex and the City series is all set for a reboot
  • John Corbett will reprise his role of Aiden
  • It will be a 10-episode show titled "And Just Like That"

If you have always thought Carrie should have ended up with Aiden and not Mr. Big in "Sex and the City," we have some good news for you.

As fans eagerly wait for the "Sex and the City" revival to hit their television screens, John Corbett, who portrayed the character of Aiden Shaw, told Page Six he will be reprising the role in the HBO Max reboot titled "And Just Like That."

Aiden was Carrie Bradshaw’s (Sarah Jessica Parker) ex-fiancé on the show from 2000 to 2003, and was also a part of the movie "Sex and the City 2" in 2010.

The 59-year-old confirmed he is “going to do the show” and it is "very exciting." Corbett added, “I think I might be in quite a few” episodes, Page Six reported. However, HBO has still not commented on the casting.

It’s been confirmed Kim Cattrall, who played the role of Samantha Jones, will not be a part of the show, while Parker, Cynthia Nixon and Kristen Davis will be returning to their roles. There were also rumors that Chris Noth may not be back, but the actor rubbished them, saying they were inaccurate, E! reported.

But, fans have been speculating that if Noth, who plays Parker's husband Mr. Big, does not return, there might be a chance for a Carrie-Aiden reunion after all.

Aiden was a furniture designer on the HBO show, who dated Carrie before she cheated on him with Mr. Big, and then broke up with him. In the second "Sex and the City" movie Carrie and Aiden run into each other in Abu Dhabi, where they share a meal and a kiss.

The reboot will be a 10-episode show and is titled "And Just Like That." Currently, Corbett is playing Grady Bello on "Rebel," which is a show inspired by the life of Erin Brockovich. The series stars Katey Sagal in the lead role.
