Simon Cowell shared his weight loss journey and secret to achieving a fitter body.

The “America’s Got Talent” judge has decided to live a healthy life following a low blood pressure that led to a fall and hospital trip in 2017. In an exclusive interview with The Sun, Cowell shared that he decided to go vegan in a bid to get leaner by ditching meat, dairy, wheat and sugar.

“Within 24 hours I changed my diet and I’ve not looked back since. You feel better, you look better,” Cowell said. “I cut out a lot of the stuff I shouldn’t have been eating and that was primarily meat, dairy, wheat, sugar — those were the four main things.”

Simon managed to lose four stone in total and never felt better. At present, he does the cooking and keeps himself active by exercising. However, he admitted that he also struggled while in lockdown especially when his son wanted to eat pizza.

On “BGT: Unseen,” Cowell told Amanda Holden how he worked out. According to the “AGT” executive producter, he performs push-ups “150 times before I come to work, in about three goes.”

Cowell opened up about his health scare when he appeared on “Lorraine.” The father of one admitted that it was a wake-up call for him and at the time, he decided to be healthy for the sake of his son, Eric.

“In a weird way it was a wake-up call because it wasn't the end of the world, it was a bit embarrassing, but I will never hear a bad word about the NHS. I mean these people were unbelievable...I was probably overtired, but I feel better this year than I did this time last year, not so many meetings, not so many late-night calls, bit more of a balance,” he said about the incident.

Many have noticed Cowell’s slimmer frame. In fact, Extra TV presenter Terri Seymour mentioned it on the red carpet in August.

“Everybody has been commenting about the new, leaner you, what do you think about all the comments, how are you feeling?” Seymour told Cowell.

“Not enough [comments], I need more. I feel a lot better for it, that's the most important thing.”
