A lot of celebrities are joining hands to help Australia from the bushfires that have already destroyed millions of acres of land and homes since September last year. The latest entrants in the ever-growing list are none other than musician Elton John and makeup mogul Kylie Jenner.

According to Mirror, the 72-year-old revealed that he is heartbroken to see whatever is happening in Australia right now and would like to extend a helping hand towards the people who have lost everything in the raging bushfires. The “Bennie And The Jets” hitmaker also noted that he will be donating a sum of $1 million to the country’s relief fund to help the people there. At the same time, he hopes that the difficulties for the people living in Australia would end soon.

The five-time Grammy award-winning artist made this announcement while performing at a concert in Sydney. He also explained that people should thank the courageous firefighters who have been risking their lives to save people and animals.

“You should all be in awe of the work that the firefighter are doing. And last, is the plight of the animals and loss of their habitat that frankly is on a biblical scale and heartbreaking. Therefore tonight I will be pledging $1 million,” John said.

Another celebrity who came forward to help the victims was the CEO of Kylie Cosmetics. According to a report by People, the "Keeping Up With The Kardashians" star has also decided to donate $1 million for the people suffering because of the extreme blaze.

More than 15 celebrities have pitched in to help the Australian citizens in battling the bushfires. Yesterday, actor Chris Hemsworth, along with his family, donated $1 million to help his home country.

The “Avengers: Endgame” star took to Instagram and encouraged others to help the people in need. “Like you, I want to support the fight against the bushfires here in Australia. My family and I are contributing a million dollars. Hopefully, you guys can chip in too,” Hemsworth said.

The actor has also shared a link in his Instagram bio where people can go and donate to various organizations working to provide relief to the people and animals in Australia.

Other celebrities who have pledged to help the victims include the likes of Pink, Selena Gomez, Nicole Kidman, Keith Urban, Celeste Barber, Russell Crowe, Kylie Minogue, Rebel Wilson, and Tennis superstar Novak Djokovic.

In related news, at least 24 people have died due to the devastating fires. The wildfires have already burned down about 5 million hectares (12.35 million acres) of land and destroyed more than 1,500 homes.
