‘Sons Of Anarchy’ Season 7 Spoilers: First Photo Of Gemma In Final Season Released Online

“Sons of Anarchy” will be airing its seventh and final season when the FX series returns to TV this September. But if you’re anything like us then twiddling our thumbs until the Kurt Sutter drama returns in the fall is just not going to fly. That’s why we’ve been scouring the web for any Season 7 clues we could get our paws on. And thanks to Gemma's Katey Sagal we’ve got something to hold us over – for now at least.

On June 17 the actress tweeted a link to photos of her charcter on the Season 7 set of “SoA."

“Who’s counting down to #SOAfx? Here’s your first look at season 7 Gemma,” she teased with the link and a hashtag of the show’s infamous group #Samcro.

The picture shows Gemma looking fiercer than ever as she sports ombre glasses and what looks like an iPad mini. From the behind-the-scenes image we can also see Sagal’s character strutting next to a sheriff from the fictional town of Charming. Oh no, could this buzzed-haired official be questioning Gemma about what happened to Eli, the sheriff killed by Juice after he witnessed Tara's murder? Looks like we’ll have to wait until Season 7 to find out.

Twenty minutes after tweeting the photo Sagal received over 100 retweets and double that amount of favorites, which doesn’t surprise us considering Gemma is a fan favorite of “SoA” viewers. Maggie Siff, who played the role of Tara before getting killed off in Season 6, could bolster that statement with her recent interview in Entertainment Weekly. She revealed that Sagal had fans requesting that she autograph weapons similar to the carving knife that Gemma used to murder Tara in the Season 6 finale.
