“Star Wars: Episode 9” is one of the most anticipated movies of 2019. So far, the producers have not yet announced when the first trailer of the film will be released. Readers who are hoping to see a clip of the film during the Super Bowl will be disappointed because the first-look video is not expected till April.

Disney has bought some Super Bowl advertisement space to showcase some of its big movies this year, but “Star Wars: Episode 9” isn’t one of them. According to a report by Deadline, the trailers of the films the fans can expect to see at the event are of “Captain Marvel,” “Avengers: Endgame,” “Dumbo,” “Toy Story 4” and “Aladdin.”

The trailer of “Solo: A Star Wars Story” was shown at the Super Bowl last year. However, that was a standalone film that needed the promotion, especially since it was being released in the middle of the year. “Star Wars: Episode 9” will be out in December, and the report pointed out that the film doesn’t need a lot of promotion this early. The first trailer is expected at the Star Wars Celebration event in April.

Filming of “Star Wars: Episode 9” started in August last year. JJ Abrams and his team are expected to wrap filming by next month. C3PO actor Anthony Daniels announced on Twitter recently that he has filmed his last scene for the movie. The actor said that they are making something “exceptional” that he can’t wait to share with the world. He also added that he is proud to have worked with all the talented cast and crew member, and that he will miss everyone.

The other cast members are busy working on the set. One of those actors may be Kylo Ren actor Adam Driver. In a recent interview with Variety at the Sundance Film Festival, a video of which has been posted on Twitter, the actor expressed surprise when the interviewer said that Abrams has wrapped filming.

Driver deflected all questions related to “Star Wars” in that interview. He was promoting his other 2019 film “The Report,” in which he plays a character named Daniel Jones.

“Star Wars: Episode 9” will be released on Dec. 20 in the U.S. The plot and the tile of the film are yet to be revealed.
