Electronic Arts has revealed “Star Wars: Squadrons” this week. There are a lot of details that have been revealed about the game; the PC requirements needed to run the game has been released, as well as details for the controls, including the compatibility of flight sticks for the PC.

According to Game Rant, it was revealed in the trailer that the game will focus on space combat and other possible facets of the game. The trailer featured two pilots – a Republic pilot and an Imperial ace. The game may also feature a simulation-like experience for players; traditionally, "Star Wars" games have always taken care of that experience for their gamers.

Classic games like “X-Wing,” “TIE Fighter” and “X-Wing Alliance” have offered varying degrees of that experience. For instance, players needed to look after their ships to manage to make it back to base, wherever that is. It was also revealed with the trailer that “Star Wars: Squadrons” is a 5 vs. 5 mission-based game.

The PC requirements and other details of the game have also been revealed. Non-VR rigs will require at least Windows 10 OS, a Ryzen 3 1300X CPU, Radeon HD 7850 GPU, 8GB Memory and Intel i5, VG Chartz reported. There are two requirements for recommended settings, at least – the only difference being that players will need at least a Radeon RX 480 for non-VR or minimum VR rigs and a Radeon RX 570 for VR rigs.

An overview of the game shows how missions start; a briefing occurs for the whole team, where they can choose from classic starfighters found in the Republic and Imperial fleets. The A-Wing and the TIE Bomber have both been revealed. As for the game, it will feature both a single-player and multiplayer story.

“Star Wars: Squadron” coincides with the return of the popularity of flight sims. Games like “Elite: Dangerous” and “Star Citizen” have been shown to create enough interest in the genre again. For "Star Wars" fans, this might be a return to the glory days when players were able to control starfighters.
