There is now more proof that Blizzard Entertainment could indeed be remaking the original “StarCraft” game and its expansion called “Brood War.” And while Blizzard is still mum regarding the rumors, fans are hopeful knowing that the game is celebrating its 19th anniversary since its release in 1998.

On Saturday, Reddit user bduddy started a subreddit after having found more signs to prove that Blizzard could launch a remake of the game and the famous expansion. The first evidence the Redditor pointed out is the fact that Blizzard has already updated its website to indicate that digital download for “StarCraft” has “temporarily sold out.”

While some fans questioned how digital copies can run out, Reddit user TheRealCopperfoil explained how this is possible and claimed that this could only mean one thing. “Digital copies can sell out if they run out of keys for it. They would then have to make more, which it seems like they wouldn't if a remake is coming soon. So they let the ones that were already made sell out and that was it,” the Redditor wrote.

Another proof that bduddy shared was Blizzard’s announcement that it is holding an “I <3 StarCraft” event next week just before the next GSL or “the biggest ‘StarCraft 2’ tournament” finals. The event is scheduled to happen on March 25 in Korea, and Blizzard CEO Mike Morhaime will be there to personally thank the fanbase of the game. Other details are already posted on the StarCraft blog.

Early this week, Korean language site Sports Seoul reported about the possible remake of “StarCraft: Brood War” after hearing from industry sources that Blizzard could be introducing a remastered version of the game and its expansion this May or June. The remaster, which will be called “StarCraft Remastered,” is said to feature high-resolution graphics and an updated Battle.net service.

The Korean publication claimed that Blizzard already disclosed details about the remake to people who attended Blizzcon 2016. The company is also reportedly announcing the remaster, which will feature the same gameplay as the original, next week.
