The Mother Monster herself will be shaking down the house in February for one of the biggest performances of her career. Lady Gaga announced via Twitter that she has been tapped to headline the coveted Halftime show for Super Bowl 2017 in Houston, Texas.

It’s been rumored for weeks that Gaga would perform at the coveted event, but the 30-year-old singer didn’t confirm the news until Thursday. “It’s not an illusion,” she tweeted. “This year the SUPER BOWL goes GAGA.!” The performance will take place Feb. 5, 2017 at the NRG Stadium in Houston. The Super Bowl, and its halftime show, will air on Fox.

Last year, Coldplay headlined the show and brought out past Halftime performers Beyoncé and Bruno Mars. However, Gaga is making history for being the only artist to perform at the Super Bowl for a second year in a row. She kicked off Super Bowl 50 last February by signing a flawless rendition of the National Anthem.

According to Billboard, Gaga’s National Anthem performance is why she was picked for the Super Bowl 51 Halftime show. The sporting event typically keeps details surrounding the Halftime show a secret, but NFL.com reported that the “American Horror Story” star will give fans a “glimpse into what she has in store” on Sunday during an in-studio interview.

Whatever Gaga has planned for the Halftime show will probably be amazing. Gaga is known for putting on unique and highly entertaining performances, complete with crazy outfits and killer vocals. We’re excited to see what songs she will include in her set list, but in the meantime take a look at eight of her best tracks we hope makes the cut.

“Perfect Illusion” from “Joanne”

There’s a pretty good chance viewers will be rocking out to Gaga’s latest single “Perfect Illusion.” Gaga has been heavily promoting the track and even used the song to help her announce her Halftime gig. “Perfect Illusion” is the lead single from her forthcoming album “Joanne,” due out Oct. 21.

“Bad Romance” from “The Fame Monster”

This 2009 song is early, early Gaga but it still one of her most popular songs. The catchy lyrics and upbeat tempo would be perfect for the Super Bowl Halftime show.

“Poker Face” from “The Fame”

“Poker Face” is also an oldie, but goody. The 2008 song was her second single ever, but is still loved by her fans. Last year, Entertainment Weekly reported that “Poker Face” went platinum 10 times, making it her second song to go diamond. The first Gaga song to go diamond was “Bad Romance” in 2013.

“Telephone” from “The Fame Monster”

Even though Gaga could put on a great Halftime show all by herself, it would be a nice surprise to see her bring a few special guests out on stage. One artist we would love to see take the stage with Gaga is Beyoncé, to perform their 2009 song “Telephone.”

“Do What U Want” from “ARTPOP”

Even though “ARTPOP” received mixed reviews, her song with R. Kelly “Do What U Want” would be perfect for the Super Bowl.

“Born This Way” from “Born This Way”

“Born This Way” could definitely make the set list for Gaga’s Halftime performance. The song is catchy, but also has a positive meaning behind it.

“Just Dance” from “The Fame”

“Just Dance” is another classic Gaga songs. In 2011, she told Popdust that she thought the track was one of the best songs she’s ever written.

“The Edge of Glory” from “Born This Way”

The last song we hope makes Gaga’s set list is “The Edge of Glory.” This 2011 song will definitely have the crowd up out of their seats and dancing.
