Will Lex Ishimoto win “So You Think You Can Dance” Season 14? Fox

“So You Think You Can Dance” Season 14 contestant Lex Ishimoto is one of the “frontrunners” in the hit Fox dance reality TV competition.

Over the past couple of weeks, Ishimoto and his all-star partner, Gaby Diaz, have received nothing but positive comments from judges Nigel Lythgoe, Mary Murphy and Vanessa Hudgens. The only negative remark he has received at the beginning of the competition was to loosen up a bit more on stage, and this did not have anything to do with his technical abilities.

On his Instagram account, the 19-year-old dancer shared a photo of himself to his almost 75,000 followers. In the snap, Ishimoto, who has his back turned towards the camera, is wearing a green hooded sweatshirt with Chinese characters on it. In his caption, Ishimoto encouraged his supporters to “scare the world.” He also used the hashtag “stay legendary” as his daily mantra. After all, he has been using the same hashtag on almost all of his posts since he started his stint in “So You Think You Can Dance.”

Last week, Ishimoto had the chance to perform with his fellow contestant and girlfriend, Taylor Sieve. Their powerful routine ended with a meaningful kiss on the lips. Ishimoto and Sieve received positive comments from all three judges, and they both couldn’t help but express how much they love each other via social media.

In his post, Ishimoto called Sieve his “lady” and “beautiful bird.” He also expressed how happy he was to have shared the stage with her. Sieve, on the other hand, called their routine a “magical duet” and a “dream.” She concluded her caption by saying that her and Ishimoto’s routine is something that she will remember for the rest of her life.

Ishimoto and Sieve have both made it to top 7 in “So You Think You Can Dance” Season 14, and it seems they are not going anywhere. Both dancers haven’t landed in the bottom three, despite Sieve previously being asked to show more fire on the dance floor.

“So You Think You Can Dance” Season 14 airs Mondays at 8 p.m. EDT on Fox.
