Forbes just released their top 100 list of the world's highest-paid celebrities and who holds the number one slot may be shocking.

Earlier this year, the publication acknowledged Kylie Jenner for becoming the first self-made billionaire, so obviously, she's also topped the list for highest-paid, right? Wrong. Taylor Swift claimed the No. 1 spot for The World's Highest-Paid Entertainers list. But don't worry about Kylie, she is right behind her.

Forbes published the list on Wednesday noting that Swift's earnings have hit a whopping $185 million. The "Keeping Up With The Kardashians" star and beauty business owner isn't too far with a reported $170 million in earnings.

So, how did the country artist turned pop star rack up so much money in the last year? A large chunk of it can be attributed to The Reputation Stadium Tour. Billboard Boxscore reported that it broke the record for highest-grossing tour coming in at $266.1 million in gross sales, and that's just domestically. Including the international run of the tour, Forbes clocked her gross earnings in at $345 million.

This isn't the first time the 29-year-old has taken the throne as the highest-paid celebrity. In 2016, Swift captured the first-place spot courtesy of The 1989 World Tour. Back then, she topped the list raking in a cool $170 million (same as Kylie's 2019 earnings).

While the "ME!" singer's latest earnings come in at $185 million, her net worth is reportedly much larger. Business Insider has Swift's net worth totaling about $360 million as of this month. She amassed such wealth through her music, merchandise, and endorsements.

With the way things are going, Swift doesn't seem like she plans on taking a break anytime soon. She's released two singles, "ME!" and "You Need To Calm Down", both off of her upcoming album "Lover" which is scheduled to be released later this summer. And, if she continues the trend, Swift will also do a tour for her seventh studio album which will no doubt pull in hundreds of millions more for the artist.
