Taylor Swift took to Instagram on Monday to respond to the leaked footage of an unedited version of the phone call between her and Kanye West that recently went viral on the internet.

The footage of the unedited phone call that included information about West informing Swift that he would be mentioning the “Reputation” singer in the lyrics of his song was recently leaked and quickly became viral on the internet.

The footage indicated that though West had informed the “Fearless” singer that he would be mentioning her in the song, he hadn’t mentioned anything about calling her a "B----h". Contrary to what he had informed the signer in the phone call, the lyrics were also changed when the song was released. Meanwhile, Taylor Swift was not happy about it and had insisted that she had never given them the consent to reference her that way.

Swift, however, received a lot of hate and backlash from the public after Kanye’s wife, Kim Kardashian, had responded to the issue and posted parts of the audio clippings online via her Snapchat account in 2016 to indicate that Taylor was aware of it. However, the complete clip was not released at the time. Following the incident, people had criticized Swift and had called her a liar.

However, after the complete unedited clip was leaked recently, many people, including Taylor’s fans supported the “You Belong With Me” singer. Meanwhile, Kanye West and Kim Kardashian were called out and slammed after the footage was leaked.

Many people took to Twitter to show their support to Swift and used several hashtags including #TaylorToldTheTruth, #TaylorSwiftWasRightAllAlong.

Taylor posted an update on her Instagram story responding to the recording stating that the footage proved that she had told the truth the whole time.

“Instead of answering those who are asking how I feel about the video footage that leaked, proving that I was telling the truth the whole time about *that call* (you know, the one that was illegally recorded, that somebody edited and manipulated in order to frame me and put me, my family, and fans through hell for 4 years)… SWIPE up to see what really matters,” she wrote.

She also urged people to donate to help people in critical situations amidst the ongoing coronavirus crisis.

“The World Health Organization and Feeding America are some of the organizations I’ve been donating to. If you have the ability to, please join me in donating during this crisis. Swipe up,” she posted in a separate story.
