Documents part of Louisiana state prosecutors' investigation into a former high ranking deputy and his wife's charges, which included rape and child pornography, among many others, revealed evidence and details related to the couple's alleged crimes.

Photos and other evidence were retrieved from the computer of former Livingston Parish Sheriff's deputy Dennis Perkins, local newspaper the Advocate reported citing unsealed documents from the Louisiana Attorney General's Office.

Dennis and his wife, former Westside Junior High teacher Cynthia Perkins, were arrested in October 2019 and slapped with a number of charges, including first-degree rape, production of child pornography, sexual battery of a child, video voyeurism and mingling harmful substances.

According to a memo from the prosecutors, investigators searched a desktop computer and external hard drive in the couple's home in Denham Springs and found more than 60 images that showed sexual contact with a child. Additionally, investigators said some of the photos appeared to have been taken with hidden cameras.

One of the photos showed a man, who investigators believed to be Dennis, ejaculating onto petit fours pastries. Investigators also found photos of school juveniles eating petit fours, with the students' names written on some of the photos. They were able to match one of the pastries using the treat's decorations.

A report by WBRZ said some of the discovered photos showed Cynthia's former class eating semen-laced sweets with the students' names labeled on them. The Attorney General's Office told the outlet it was still trying to identify the students.

It was unclear if the photos reported by the Advocate and WBRZ were the same.

The documents also revealed that one of the couple's victims was between 9 to 10 years old at the time the alleged crimes occurred, as per WBRZ. The victim was identified in the documents but the outlet did not disclose their identity as part of their policy to protect sexual assault victims.

The couple is scheduled to go to trial this summer. Both have maintained their innocence, WAFB reported.

A Baton Rouge judge last month allowed jurors to see a video of Dennis allegedly raping his former mistress, Melanie Curtin, as part of Curtin's trial for accusations of aggravated rape and video voyeurism. Curtin was charged after investigators alleged that she assisted Dennis in raping a drugged and incapacitated woman.

Curtin, however, claimed she was actually a second victim in the alleged recorded rape incident.
