An Indonesian teen stabbed a man to death for raping his mother six years ago.

According to local reports, 49-year-old Yasin Fadilla was leaving his home on his motorcycle Monday morning when the teen, identified as 18-year-old Maulud Riyanto, stopped him and stabbed him repeatedly before fleeing. Fadilla was rushed to a nearby hospital in a critical condition where he succumbed to injuries later that day.

Following an investigation, police detained Riyanto the following day. During interrogation, the teen confessed to the crime and said he stabbed Fadilla because he had raped his mother six years ago.

Recalling the six-year-old incident, the teen said he was in elementary school when his mother was raped and though the issue was “resolved” between his mother and Fadilla, he couldn’t forgive the man. He then decided to take revenge and began spying on the man one month back. He stabbed him with a knife Monday.

“I’ve had a grudge on him since I was 12 when I found out he raped my mom!” he told the police officers, adding that he hadn’t forgotten that traumatizing incident. He was taken into custody but was yet to be formally charged.
