TV is celebrating Thanksgiving early! While the 2014 holiday may fall on Thursday, Nov. 27, many of your favorite TV families will be taking part in the food-stuffed celebration a couple days in advance.

Grab a turkey sandwich, slap a piece of pumpkin pie on a plate and get in the Thanksgiving state of mind with 11 TV shows that are taking part in this year’s Turkey Day takeover.

Sunday, Nov. 16

“Family Guy” 9 p.m. EST on Fox

In “Turkey Guy,” Peter and Brian get drunk on Thanksgiving eve and must find a replacement turkey after they eat the family’s holiday meal early

“Cutthroat Kitchen” 10 p.m. EST on Food Network

“Cutthroat Kitchen” gets a Thanksgiving twist during “Thanks, but No Thanksgiving.” Shenanigans include a turkey float that will be paraded through the kitchen.

Tuesday, Nov. 18

“Marry Me” 9 p.m. EST on NBC

Annie (Casey Wilson) clashes with Myrna (JoBeth Williams) over hosting and preparing Thanksgiving dinner during episode 5, “Thank Me.”

Wednesday, Nov. 19

“The Middle” 8 p.m. EST on ABC

Hilarity ensues when the Hecks have Thanksgiving dinner at a restaurant buffet with some unexpected guests in “Thanksgiving VI.”

“The Goldbergs” 8:30 p.m. EST on ABC

Dan Fogler will reprise his role as Murray’s (Jeff Garlin) brother, Marv, in the 2014 Turkey Day special, “A Goldberg Thanksgiving.” The episode will find Marv bonding with Adam (Sean Giambrone) as Erica (Hayley Orrantia) decides to “opt out of celebrating Thanksgiving.”

“Modern Family” 9 p.m. EST on ABC

Phil (Ty Burrell) and Luke (Nolan Gould) take responsibility for cooking the turkey for Thanksgiving dinner – but Claire (Julie Bowen) prepares a secret turkey. Meanwhile, Jay (Ed O’Neill) and Gloria (Sofia Vergara) find themselves in hot water when their plan to spend the holiday away gets canceled in “Three Turkeys.”

“Top Chef” 10 p.m. EST on Bravo

Bravo’s cooking reality show will celebrate Turkey day with a special Thanksgiving cook-off. The contestants will not only have to create a dish that uses cranberries, but must also prepare a “traditional Thanksgiving feast using tools, methods and ingredients found in the 1600s.”

Thursday, Nov. 20

“The Vampire Diaries” 8 p.m. EST on The CW

The Mystic Falls gang will be getting into the holiday spirit this year with a special Friendsgiving dinner at Elena (Nina Dobrev) and Caroline’s (Candice Accola) Whitmore College dorm. But like every other occasion on “The Vampire Diaries,” the meal will be jam-packed with drama. Fans can look forward to some tense moments during Season 6, episode 8, “Fade into You,” when Jo (Jodi Lyn O’Keege) is left “fighting for her life.”

Saturday, Nov. 22

“The Kitchen” 11 a.m. EST on Food Network

“The Kitchen” will answer viewer questions and give tips on how to prepare the perfect Thanksgiving meal.

“Thanksgiving at Bobby’s” 12 p.m. EST on Food Network

Celebrate Thanksgiving with Bobby Flay and his celebrity chef friends during this Turkey Day special. The episode will include recipe ideas and personal stories.

Tuesday, Nov. 25

“New Girl” 9 p.m. EST on Fox

It’s a singles party for “New Girl”! Since everyone is single on Thanksgiving, Schmidt (Max Greenfield) requests that everyone bring a “compatible companion for someone else” to their dinner party.
