Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise’s daughter Suri Cruise was heartbroken when her father did not show up for her 10th birthday last month, according to a latest report by Radar Online. The actor was reported to be busy shooting for his upcoming movie “The Mummy” in London.

“Suri was miserable. She got everything — from designer outfits, a new computer and even a baby grand piano — but none of it was enough … All Suri wanted was time with her dad, but Tom didn’t even send a present!” a source told Radar Online.

According to website’s report on Friday, Holmes had planned weekend of fun to celebrate before Suri’s birthday which fell on Monday, April 18.

“On Saturday, Katie threw a kids’ party at Dave & Buster’s, complete with cupcakes and gift baskets. Then on Sunday, Katie arranged a sit-down meal at Suri’s favorite restaurant, Tavern on the Green,” the insider told the gossip website.

“When Katie’s mom innocently asked Suri if she’d gotten everything she’d wished for her birthday, she had a total meltdown. The child had tears in her eyes … she put her head in her hands and started crying. It was a heartbreaking scene,” the source reportedly said.

Cruise, the 53-year-old Scientologist, was spotted on the sets of “The Mummy” in London on the day of Suri’s birthday. It was reported last month that another reason for Cruise not being able to be there on her birthday was the Church of Scientology.

“[Cruise] had plenty of chances to see Suri in the past,” a source had told InTouch magazine, noting that it has been over 900 days since he has seen Suri. But Katie has been called a “suppressive person” by the Church of Scientology, the report claimed, and “the closeness to her daughter likely makes seeing them both off-limits to Tom.”

Cruise is reportedly planning to move to the Scientology headquarters in the United Kingdom after selling his London house to spread the religion to Europe. He is expected to move into the 100-acre estate in a bid to expand Scientology in Europe. Latest renovations at the headquarters are reported to be worth $16 million.
