Popular Twitch streamer and adult performer Adriana Chechik said she broke her back after leaping into a foam pit and landing on what appeared to be her tailbone at TwitchCon, held at the San Diego Convention Center.

"I can't get up," Chechik said as she struggled in the foam pit, while announcers could be heard saying, "no no she's fine."

Chechik was captured inside the foam pit at the Saturday event having a "Face Off" with gaming streamer EdyBot, according to Kotaku.

The two used foam "swords" as they stood on platforms above the foam pit and pushed each other until EdyBot landed in the pit.

Chechik celebrated her win by leaping off the platform and doing an air split before landing in the pit.

Videos of the fall were posted on social media.

The popular content creator confirmed on Twitter she came out of the event with a broken back and needed surgery.

"Well, I broke my back in two places and am getting surgery to put a meter rod in for support today. Send your support. When it rains it pours and I am definitely feeling the rain right now," Chechik wrote in her tweet.

"Special shout out to the random off work EMT who got the workers at the booth to realize how bad I was injured and to make them keep me still and calm me down until others got there. U rly kept me from crying badly," she said in another tweet.

Streamers and fans came together for the TwitchCon convention after a two-year hiatus that saw the event being live-streamed due to Covid.

Following TwitchCon Amsterdam conducted in July this year, TwitchCon was held in San Diego from Oct. 7 to 9.

Chechik also wrote on Twitter she was not the only one who sustained injuries in the foam pit, which was put together by the company Lenovo as part of its "Legion by Lenovo" booth at the event.

Her opponent in the "Face Off," EdyBot, also acknowledged the incident on Twitter.

"We are aware of the incidents of TwitchCon visitors who sustained injuries in the gladiator game soft foam pit at the Lenovo booth," a Lenovo spokesperson said in a statement to Rolling Stone. "The area has since been closed for any further use while we work with event organizers to look into the incidents."
