Shopify decided to terminate the stores affiliated with President Donald Trump after the Capitol riot on Wednesday.

Shopify, a Canadian multinational e-commerce company headquartered in Ottawa has closed its doors on Trump by terminating the stores affiliated with the POTUS. The move received mixed reactions from other users with some agreeing and others saying it was already "too late."

"Too little, too late," one commented.

"Every time I see a company finally take action against T or yet another staffer resigns, it just shows how much they’re willing to accept either for profits or to keep their job. Shows where their line in the sand is. Too little too late for these companies & staffers. Shameful!" another added.

"Which is 4 years too late. Trump should never have been allowed to trade and conduct business while potus," Gamer Granny wrote.

"Facebook, Twitter et al has taken action against Trump inciteful rhetoric when he soon be an ex-president... is it taking action or merely showing to the world that they are being tough and pretending to be good guys??" a different user opined.

"The pure courage of shutting this down after 206 out of 208 weeks worth of sales is incredible bravery, truly stunning," another added sarcastically.

"I will no longer be buying from any Shopify store. The saying will most likely prove true: 'Get woke; go broke'," @VzConcepts wrote.

Meanwhile, many appreciated Shopify's move and they thanked the company for what it did because they believed hitting Trump financially would be a big deal to the POTUS and his family.

"This is what matters to him, not Democracy, not American lives or health on Covid, but money is the bottom dollar to him. Happy to see this," one commented.

"This is like sunlight coming through the cloud after a terrible storm. Thank you $SHOP @Shopify I am gonna to my $SHOP just because of this," a second user added.

"Good! Take away his ability to make money and sell hate!" a third user stated.

Some netizens approved of Shopify’s move and even urged Amazon to do the same.

"Hey @AmazonHelp you need to do the same! Remove anything related to the name and groups associated with right wing terrorists!" one tweeted.

"@amazon @JeffBezos should follow this lead. There’s a bunch of merchandise available on Amazon," @MerleMom19 wrote.

Shopify released a statement about its decision to cut ties with the stores affiliated with Trump. Its spokesperson said the company doesn't tolerate actions that incite violence.

"Shopify does not tolerate actions that incite violence," the spokesperson told ABC News in a statement. "Based on recent events, we have determined that the actions by President Donald J. Trump violate our Acceptable Use Policy, which prohibits promotion or support of organizations, platforms or people that threaten or condone violence to further a cause. As a result, we have terminated stores affiliated with President Trump."
