New Zealand police arrested two men who were found with a car trunk filled with a huge stash of KFC takeout on their way to Auckland, the countries strictest city under COVID-19 lockdown regulations.

Police were patrolling streets when they noticed their vehicle traveling down a gravel road, it was when the car noticed the police and tried to speed off doing a U-turn when it was decided to pull them over, a New Zealand Police spokesperson said Monday in a statement.

The men, ages 23 and 30, were found on Sunday with $70,000 in cash, ounce bags, and a large amount of Kentucky Fried Chicken.

Photos taken by the officers show four large bags of KFC items, three buckets of chicken, 10 cups of coleslaw, a large package of fries.

The two men broke New Zealand’s health order to go on a “chicken run” and return to the city. During a time of strict lockdown rules, items like fast food can be seen as valuable.

Auckland’s Alert Level 4 lockdown has strictly limited travel, residents are required to stay home while all public places including restaurants are closed. Only essential businesses are open.

“Business and personal travel within an Alert Level 4 area is limited to essential or permitted movement,” New Zealand’s coronavirus information explains.

Auckland’s coronavirus restrictions will be eased on Tuesday at 11:59 p.m. to an Alert Level 3. The easing of restrictions will allow for more travel, and in-person work and school.
