  • A UFO expert claims to have spotted alien creatures on Mars
  • Photo of the alleged aliens was captured by the Curiosity rover
  • The expert believes the photo proves the existence of aliens on Mars

A UFO expert believes that NASA captured a photo of a couple of alien creatures on Mars. According to the expert, the image proves that small animal-like creatures are living on the surface of the Red Planet.

The strange sighting was made by Scott Waring of the blog ET Data Base. In a recent blog post, Waring stated that he came across the alleged aliens through a photo uploaded on the website Gigapan, which features images taken by NASA on Mars.

As indicated in the image, it was taken by NASA’s Curiosity rover on SOL 1033, which is equivalent to July 2, 2015 on Earth. While viewing the photo, which mainly features rocks on the side of a hill, Waring spotted a couple of strange objects.

According to the UFO expert, several alien creatures can be spotted in different parts of the photo. Waring noted that the shape of the alleged creatures’ bodies is similar to that of a snail. Aside from snails, Waring believes that the strange creatures could also be compared to hermit crabs.

“Today, I found two unique animals on Mars, both seem to be creatures that live in a shell and travel with it,” he stated in a blog post. “The animals are similar to a snail, but think fist size. Here in Taiwan, we have snails that size, so it’s not impossible at all. Also, they may be more crab-like in their body... meaning an exoskeleton... like many land crabs or hermit crabs.”

For Waring, the photo proves that living creatures still exist on the Red Planet. This is the same assumption he made in 2012 after coming across a video of a strange object on Mars. The clip, which was posted on NASA’s website, shows an object on the ground that looks like a rabbit.

Although Waring believes that the object was a small alien creature, NASA stated that it was most likely a piece of material that came off from a vehicle that brought the Opportunity rover to Mars.

“Our team believes that this odd-looking feature is a piece of soft material that definitely came from our vehicle,” Rob Manning, the rover’s lead engineer for entry, descent and landing procedures explained.

“We cannot say exactly where it came from but we can say that there are several possibilities: cotton insulation, Vectran covers and wraps from the airbag, Zylon bridle tensioning ties, or felt insulation from the gas generators... The list goes on,” he continued.
