What would you do if you expected an impeccably clean $500/night Disney hotel room, only to find dead cockroaches lying on the floor and with a used condom on the bed? This was the very thing that two dads thought about long and hard when they arrived at their room at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort hotel.

Michael and Paul Atwal-Brice flew a thousand miles from England, together with their adopted twin sons, to enjoy a grand vacation worth $13K at Disney resort. They were aghast when they found out that their more than $500 hotel room was in “so much crap and dust.”

Cockroaches and a Used Condom

As per Mirror’s report, Michael stated that one wouldn’t put a dog in the room due to its condition. Aside from the said dead roaches on the floor and the used condom on the bed, there was also exposed wiring in the room.

The 13-year-old twin boys of Michael and Paul were autistic. According to Michael, they didn’t have a sense of danger. The exposed wires would be utterly dangerous for them as “they could easily stick their fingers” in it. The boys were also non-verbal and epileptic, requiring closer supervision as compared to other boys their age.

Michael also stated that due to the boys’ condition, they could easily stand on the roaches or touch the used condom on the bed. He continued further that the boys were distressed and were screaming.

Moved to Disney's Grand Floridian Resort and Spa

Besides, they claimed that they also requested a new room but were denied. They were eventually moved to t Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa, a more luxurious accommodation provided by Disney. However, the family still didn’t hold back on airing their opinion of the resort publicly.

Fox News was able to obtain a statement from a rep of Disney World. It stated that the Atwal-Brices family had received compensation from Disney “numerous times” over the past five years. Despite this, the family keeps on returning.

Addressing the current claims of the couple, the rep said that he believes that they were exaggerated. Despite this, the resort still took steps so that the vacation of the family will be enhanced.
